I dun think u did it on purpose. Of course hurting someone is not rite...but the courage(or even to discover that u r wrong) to admit tt u r wrong is so much more impt to any relationship. I am sure the person who u hurt will be able to forgive u after a while. Sincerty will touch the heart and make the hurt go off.
